State police in Somerset County say a Pittsburgh man is facing charges after he allegedly crashed into an occupied camper and then began firing a rifle at Scottyland Park on Memorial Day.

Police say troopers were dispatched to the park, located in Middlecreek Township, during the early morning hours of Memorial Day, for a report of an intoxicated man firing a gun.

Troopers say when they arrived on scene, they observed a 2010 Lincoln Towncar that had crashed into a camper and golf cart on a private campsite.

Police then located the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Corey Rall, sitting on the porch of the campsite.

Upon further investigation, police learned that Rall had been arguing with a relative and that when their fellow campers went inside, Rall got into his vehicle and crashed into the camper.

Police say Rall then allegedly pulled an AR-15 rifle from the trunk of his vehicle and fired multiple shots near the camper.

Investigators say they recovered nine empty shell casings near the campsite.

Rall was charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, according to online court documents.

He is out on unsecured bail and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 16.
