Ten local girls and two head coaches were selected to the Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Girls Basketball teams on Friday.
Bishop Guilfoyle head coach Kristi Kaack won coach of the year in Class 1A. Kaack led the Marauders to their second PIAA state championship in four years.
Bishop Guilfoyle will only lose one senior and the entire starting lineup is expected to return.
Westmont Hilltop head coach Brittany Eisenhuth won coach of the year in Class 3A. The Hilltoppers lost to Forest Hills in the PIAA District VI playoffs, but still qualified for the state tournament.
Eisenhuth's Hilltoppers reached the state championship despite rostering only eight girls. Similarly to Bishop Guilfoyle, Westmont Hilltop will only lose one senior.
One of the eight, Christiana Gordon, was selected to the Class 3A first team.
